A husband-and-wife team with the perfect combination of artistic abilities and skillful craftsmanship.
Their copper metal artwork is hand built by Louisiana native, Brock Richard. He established a career as a sheet metal mechanic. Specializing in architectural sheet metal, he considers himself more of a craftsman than an artist.
His wife, Tami Richard, inspires the design and creative process. They challenge each other to make each piece more unique than the last.
The couple only designs and produces a few pieces of art and/or furniture per year which has made their work rare and desirable.
Inspiration came from Hurricane Ida that hit Louisiana in 2021. What the devastating storm took from us, we decided to turn into useful materials.
The large red oak tree pictured here was uprooted during the storm (no one was injured). The tree was milled into useful lumber and now being used for various projects. Our favorite commissioned project was for a children's toy---a rainbow-puzzle. See how God can turn a complete disaster into a 'rainbow'.
We use all-natural materials that we typically source ourselves. Each one of our projects, includes a summary of materials and their origins. We want you to know where it came from, so the art begins to tell a story.
When we travel outside of our home state of Louisiana, we love to collect unique materials from that area such as driftwood, stones, shells, rare woods, etc. For example, we literally shipped home a box of redwood and random rocks that we collected on Agate Beach in Trinidad, California. Those rocks have been used in countless projects.
Uniquely Copper is a husband-and-wife team who use their individual talents to create one-of-a-kind pieces of art with locally sourced copper sheet metal and rare, pecky cypress lumber from Louisiana.
Other natural materials are hand-picked from around the country by the family themselves.
Louisiana, United States of America
God created nature which, in itself, is undoubtably beautiful and unique. We just use the natural materials to extend that beauty into your home or business.
